How to care for your unique dice

How to care for your unique dice

2 minute read

If you play any type of game with dice you’ll know that there are tons of beautiful handmade dice out there to choose from and you've got to know how to care for them.

And there’s nothing worse than spending a ton on pretty dice… only to see them scratched, chipped, dirty or worn soon after.

How awful is it when you can’t see the numbers anymore?

Dice care is a thing!

Here are some tips on how to care for your dice:

1. Roll on a Padded Surface
Sometimes, people roll on computer keyboards, glass tables and more. Those little impacts aren’t fun for your dice as they accumulate over time and cause scratches.

2. Store Them Well
Store your dice in a padded/soft bag, ideally separately so they don’t clash together and scratch each other up. Also, do not leave your dice wet or submerged in water for long periods of time.

3. Clean Your Dice
If your dice get dirty or something spills on them, the worst thing you can do is scratch at them with your nails, sponges or use soaps or detergents. Simply use warm water, a toothbrush or polish with a microfibre cloth.

These tips on how to care for your dice will help you keep your dice as bright and shiny as the day you bought them!
