Elder Futhark Runes & Vegvísir Silicone Molds
Elder Futhark was a runic alphabet that formed the basis for the runes used by Vikings.
Each rune had a philosophical and magical significance of its visual form, and they were used on magical objects or rituals according to their meanings.
The Vegvisir, a runic compass comprised of eight Viking rune staves, is a symbol of protection and guidance believed to be used as a compass by Vikings.
The word vegvisir means ‘wayfinder’, and is a symbol of guidance and protection. According to the Huld Manuscript, the runes translate to “the wearer of this symbol will not lose his way during storms and bad weather, even if he does not know of his destination”.
